Porsha “HYPEQUEEN” Williams was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. At the age of 11 she started writing poetry and at the age of 13 she entered a Spoken Word competition that Russel Simmons started through her performing arts junior high school in NYC. As of 2022, HypeQueen is now an Author of 2 books and a traveling Spoken Word artist and she has continuously organized poetry events along the East Coast for more than 10 years.
